9th Haneda Aviation Museum Exhibition in HICity
See a special exhibit in tribute to Japan’s aviation heritage. Marking 70 years since Haneda’s pioneering 1955 “Orient’s finest” passenger terminal, see old photos of the airport, 1950–70s scale-model airliners and vintage airline bags from the Shigeta Saito collection. Visitors can join family-friendly activities, including a paper-glider class, an airline-fan meet-up and a radio-building workshop on air-traffic control.

Short Shorts Film Festival 2025
Another weekend of this famous short film festivals for those of you who haven't had the chance to see it yet. Launched in 1999 as a small film festival in Harajuku that featured only six short titles by George Lucas when he was a student, this annual event has grown to become one of the largest Academy-recognized film festivals in Asia. This year, some 500 titles selected from 10,000 contestants from over 130 countries are screened online and in several locations around Tokyo. A perfect event to get some creativity and inspiration boost!

Kyu-Furukawa Gardens Rose Festival
Take a pleasant stroll amid plenty of beautiful roses at this Western-style Japanese garden. The venue is well known for its infusion of Eastern and Western aesthetics; the western-style building brings back the 1900s British taste, while the Japanese garden reflects the authenticity of the Wa spirit. All of this at the sight and scent of gorgeous roses!

Plum Wine Festival
Sample more than 100 varieties of umeshu (Japanese plum wine). Between pours, browse the bazaar or join in food-pairing demos. It’s a once-a-year chance to try different kinds of umeshu from Hokkaido to Okinawa. Be sure to reserve your ticket in advance.

A Night To Remember
Torikoe Shrine Festival
The Sengan Mikoshi (portable shrine) Parade at Torikoe Shrine is a must-see for fans of Japanese culture. Torikoe Shrine in Taito ward has a history of over 1,300 years with the portable shrine dating back to the early Showa period. Said to be the heaviest portable shrine in Tokyo, this procession happens at night set against a backdrop of paper lanterns lining the way.

Metsa Umbrella Sky
Metsa in Hanno, Saitama has brought back their colorful exhibition area with Japan’s largest umbrella corridor. Approximately 1,200 colorful umbrellas will be stretched across the path extending over to the Moomin Valley Park. Metsa is a lakeside forest facility with Nordic influence that is made up of two areas: the Metsa Village, a shopping and restaurant complex with an outdoor area with canoeing and adventure ropes, and the Moomin Valley Park, the home of the famed adorable troll family.
